I would like to implement Tomcat as the Web Container and WebSphere for EJB Server with security feature to be taking into consideration.

As your posting saying that it is not possible to share security between Tomcat and WebSphere, and that's why you are using WebSeal. But is your tomcat access WebSeal?

When one authenticated user access to a web page(in tomcat) and subsequently try to access EJB Server(WebSphere), how does the Websphere know whether the requester is authenticated or not?
