Re: Apache Tomcat integration with WAS 4.0 (Score: 0) by Anonymous on Monday, January 20 @ 09:05:18 EST Not registered user | I am not sure how you can share security credentials just by putting Tomcat and WebSphere side by side. even though you can call the EJBs or Servlets from an outside AppServer, it is not possible to share the security information.
In our case we have used Tivoli WebSeal for this purpose. Wherein, IBM WebSphere is customized to WebSeal as "trust interceptor" and all logins and access goes through webseal. User credentials are directly read from webseal's security cache ( transparently ) whenever needed.
