BCBSNC is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our IS Operational Services Department as a Websphere Administrator. Responsibilities and Requirements include:
Responsiblities: This individual will support and manage complex application systems on the Websphere platform.
Install, maintain, customize and monitor the performance, tuning, and capacity planning for applications. Research and implement enhancements to the system. Monitor system performance and integrity and make changes as needed. Provide system/technical expertise as appropriate. Manage code migrations and changes between different application environments and troubleshoot application and platform issues.
Requirements: Candidate should possess at least a Bachelors degree and a minimum of three years of Websphere administration experience.
Preferred Skills: Candidate should have a strong Unix background including a good knowledge of Unix troubleshooting and systems monitoring commands.
Prefer experience with Websphere 6.x administration; experience with development projects and tools(such as Wiley Technoolgies)
and prefer experience working with application teams.
